Original engine was a 6 cylinder Wisconsin Fuel Engine at 35 HP, And 1929 she got an Kermath 6 cyl 125 hp.

Dingy built at Plyms Yard, lapstrake in mahogny with oak frames, on cabin roof (mast and boom are used to lower and retrieve the dingy.
2010 We installed an electric bow thruster at 4 hp.
Builder Landin & Johanssons warf located in Gothenburg for GW Rundström Gothenburg.
The hull was built in Honduras Mahogny with decks in Oregon Pine. Ash tree frames with every 3rd frame in metal and the keel in oak.
Lead keel with a weight of 320 kg ( 705 lbs )
At the latest total overhaul we used pine in the planking below waterline.
All 48 metal frames was replaced to stainless steel.
The construction of Silva was documented in Boat Magazines during the twenties.
When we found Silva 1995 she was placed in southern part of Sweden on land. 1971 she was in water for the last time, thats why we had to take her on lorry to Stockholm for the total overhaul.
After 9000 hours of renovation she relaunched in 2nd November 2001.

Silva was listed 2012 at The Maritime Museum lists culturally and historically interesting ships (so-called k-märkning). In this way, The Maritime Museum aim to make them better recognized, preserved and used.
